Democrats... we are not like you.
You hate us because you hate yourself.
The Democrats always accuse Republicans of what they themselves are guilty of. This is a well-known fact. They cannot fathom a world in which we are not like them. The hatred for Republicans stems from the Democrats' own self-hatred.
Take, for example, Elon Musk purchasing X, formerly known as Twitter. The left was up in arms; they were absolutely raging. They woke up one day to the shock that the media was now telling them the popular electric car maker was now a right-wing extremist. The left, of course, believed this without question. These are the same people who think a reality TV star who appointed the first openly gay person in American history to a Presidential Cabinet... hates gay people.
So why did they suddenly hate Elon Musk? They hated him because they were convinced he would censor Democrats on X. Why would they think a man who always talks about the importance of free speech would censor Democrats if given the chance? Because censoring speech is exactly what the average Democrat would do if they were in power. In fact, that's exactly what happened when Democrats ran Twitter. They assumed we would censor them because they assume we are like them. Elon, of course, did not censor speech on X.
Now, the 2024 Election is nearly upon us, and what do we hear? Regularly, we hear about the horrors of what Donald Trump will do if he gets into office. The Democrats are convinced that Donald Trump will use the government to attack his political opponents. Why do they think this? Brace yourself: because Democrats did use the government to attack their political opponents. Once again, the world's most hateful people (Democrats) are convinced that everyone else is just like them. (They are also narcissists in most cases.) Sorry, Democrats, we aren’t going to use the government to hunt you down because, unlike you, we aren’t communists.

Democrats will never be able to accept that Republicans are not like them. That would require enough self-reflection to realize they are on the side of censorship and government overreach. That would mean they are not indeed part of some grand "resistance" but are just useful idiots for an oppressive government and its corporations. To admit the Republicans are different would be to admit that they were the villains all along.
Donald Trump is not going to try to arrest his political opponents because Donald Trump is not a Democrat. XOXO.
